School counselors are advocates for students. They seek to build relationships to help students grow emotionally, socially and academically. Counselors are first and foremost here to support student academic and learning development, helping students achieve school success. Second, life and career development, which helps students focus on future life and career goals. Counselors work to provide an awareness of multicultural and global citizenship to allow students to see opportunity in the ever evolving global communities. Finally, the school counselor provides social and emotional support allowing students to develop resiliency and strength as they work towards their future. Your school counselor is in the school to support you!

Latinos in Action
A description of Latinos in Action, as written by our current 22-23 LIA class:
"LIA, or Latinos In Action, is a class about leadership. LIA is not just Latinos. It can be anyone around the world. You don’t have to be Latino to be in LIA. We accept everyone because we welcome everyone in this class. LIA treats each other like family. We see each other as one big family, and we support everyone. We help out those in need with what they need. We help the community with supplies. We also visit local colleges and universities to learn about college and how it will feel like and then be able to teach others about it. We do this to help ourselves and others create plans for our lives and careers. We also have fun. In LIA, we do group activities that include everyone because we think leaving someone out is wrong. Therefore, we provide activities for the whole school so everyone can enjoy themselves. This is what LIA is: we are Latinos In Action."
